"Republic and Atatürk in its 100th Anniversary" Panel Held at the Faculty of Education
Pamukkale University (PAU) Faculty of Education organized its second event within the scope of the 100th anniversary of our Republic. The panel on "Republic and Atatürk in its 100th Year" attracted great interest.
Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. İzzet Kara, Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Yakup Kaska, faculty members and students attended the event held at Melek Sözkesen Conference Hall.
Prof. Dr. Süleyman İnan and Prof. Dr. Mithat Aydın took part as panelists in the panel on "Republic and Atatürk in its 100th Anniversary" moderated by PAU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Durmuş Akalın. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Durmuş Akalın made the opening speech at the panel attended by faculty members and many students: "As a university, we are organizing various events in the 100th anniversary of our Republic. Our aim in these events is to make you, our students, aware of the fact that our Republic was not won easily and the responsibilities we all have as individuals to protect it."
Following the opening speech, Prof. Dr. Süleyman İnan made a presentation and gave a speech titled "The Citizen Design of the Republic". Prof. Dr. İnan talked about the historical changes in citizenship and concluded his speech with Atatürk's view of citizenship. Prof. Dr. Mithat Aydın made a presentation on "The Historical Process of the Concept of Republic in Turkey and Atatürk".
At the end of the event, Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. İzzet Kara presented a plaque to PAU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Durmuş Akalın, who also moderated the panel, for his contribution.
Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Durmuş Akalın and Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Yakup Kaska presented the panelists with their plaques.
