Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, along with Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Turan Karadeniz and Prof. Dr. Recep Şahin Arslan, participated in the "Don't Litter, Leave a Clean Future!" event, bringing together PAU staff and students for a day of environmental action.
Rector Kutluhan: "We Launched a Project Competition with the Slogan 'Quit Smoking, Protect the Environment' to Prevent Cigarette Butts and Trash from Being Discarded on Our Campus."
Rector Kutluhan also reviewed the efforts made during the event and conversed with the staff and students involved. He explained further, "Another initiative we’ve started is focused on reducing security concerns caused by municipal buses entering our campus, particularly in the Gölbahçe area. Our university's Department for Construction is working with Denizli Metropolitan Municipality's relevant units to address this issue. In the future, municipal buses will not enter our campus, and to solve potential transportation issues, we’ve launched the 'Smart Transportation' project competition. We aim to enhance campus mobility based on the proposed solutions, and the best projects will be awarded."
The award for today’s event was "Awareness." Rector Kutluhan thanked the participating staff and students for their contributions.
Pamukkale University’s vocational schools in nearby districts also supported the event, further contributing to the promotion of environmental awareness.
