Botox Application Training for Spasticity Under Ultrasound Guidance Held at PAUTERM
Pamukkale University Thermal Rehabilitation Center (PAUTERM) hosted a comprehensive training program titled "Botox Applications Under Ultrasound Guidance in Spasticity." The event, held on Friday, January 24, featured Prof. Dr. Belgin Erhan as a guest lecturer.
Pamukkale University Thermal Rehabilitation Center (PAUTERM) hosted an extensive training program on "Botox Applications Under Ultrasound Guidance in Spasticity." Prof. Dr. Erhan, Head of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Istanbul Medeniyet University, brought over 25 years of experience in spinal cord injury rehabilitation, spasticity management, and botulinum toxin injections. He has contributed to numerous national and international publications and currently serves as the Chair of the Prevention Committee and a Board Member of the International Spinal Cord Society (ISCoS). Additionally, he holds leadership positions in the National Neurotoxin Society, the Turkish Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation's Spinal Cord Injury and Spasticity Working Groups.
The event was attended by faculty members and residents from the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Pamukkale University. The program included both theoretical sessions and practical applications on five patients. Participants had the opportunity to develop their practical skills in botulinum toxin injections under ultrasound guidance. The theoretical session covered the latest approaches in spasticity management, while the practical session involved real patient cases.
Prof. Dr. Füsun Ardıç, Head of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Pamukkale University, emphasized the importance of such training programs, stating: "As PAUTERM, we closely follow the latest rehabilitation techniques and continue to offer training opportunities to healthcare professionals with experts in the field."
The program concluded with an interactive session where participants were able to ask questions and gain detailed insights on the subject.
