"November 29th World Medical Secretaries Day" Celebrated at DSHMYO
Within the scope of November 29, World Medical Secretaries Day, Pamukkale University Denizli Vocational School of Health Services (DSHMYO) Department of Medical Services and Techniques, Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program lecturers organized a "Keyboard Competition" and a talk titled "We Talk about the Medical Secretarial Profession".
A keyboard competition was held on the first day of the two-day event on November 29-30 and a talk was organized on the second day. On the first day of the program, 15 second-year Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program students participated in the "Keyboard Competition" event. The students who competed to write the text on "Atatürk's Contribution to Education" on the F keyboard showed a fierce performance. Lect. Nuray Keskin, who meticulously carried out the competition process. Nuray Keskin evaluated the texts at the end of the competition and determined the winners. At the end of the competition, certificates of participation were presented to all participating students by Denizli Vocational School of Health Services lecturers.
"We Talk About Medical Secretarial Profession" Interview
On Thursday, November 30, 2023, the event "We Talk About the Medical Secretarial Profession" was organized. At the event, the students who ranked in the Keyboard Competition held on November 29, 2023 were presented awards and certificates of appreciation by the Head of the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program, Dr. Esin Tuba Tepekule presented awards and certificates of appreciation. The first place winner of the keyboard competition was second-year student Meryem Tasçı; the second place was second-year student Neşe Tokbaş, while the third place was shared by second-year students Elif Gamze Çengel and Hüdelfa Olcay, who received the same score. In the continuation of the program, the students who were honored with certificates of appreciation by the institutions where they did their internship for their success and dedication in the 2023 summer internship were presented their certificates.
"Fatma Vural and Cansu Bütün Keskin, who graduated from the Medical Documentation and Secretarial Program in 2016 and continued their professional life as medical secretaries at Denizli Servergazi Hospital, talked about their career journey to the students who are candidate medical secretaries. They also answered questions from the students by giving information about their work experiences in private and public hospitals, KPSS appointment processes and the functioning of the units they currently work in.
