Manzikert Battlefield Archeology Discussed at PAU

Pamukkale University Humanities and Social Sciences Faculty Deanery and History Department hosted a conference called "Manzikert Battlefield Archeology" given by Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University faculty member Prof. Dr. Adnan Çevik.
Prof. Dr. Çevik “The Manzikert Battlefield Research is a research with its firsts”In addition to how the Battle of Manzikert took place, Prof. Adnan Çevik also gave detailed information about the project called "Detection, Historical and Archaeological Survey of the Battlefield of Manzikert" supported by the Ministry of Culture. Giving information about the place where the war took place, the archaeological findings obtained as a result of the excavations, the geographical features of the region, the latest technology devices used and the difficulties they faced, Çevik stated that this research contains many firsts in Turkey in many respects.
Manzikert Battlefield Investigations to Shed Light on Detection of Myriakephalon Battlefield
After the conference, expert academics working on the Myryokephalon War, met with Prof. Dr. Adnan Çevik and exchanged views on how to carry out a similar project in Denizli regarding the Myryokephalon War, and tried to draw a road map. Prof. Dr. Adnan Çevik stated that the project they carried out could also be a guide for the studies to be carried out on the determination of the location of the Myryokephalon War.
