'Emergency Response Training' Organized at IIBF

Within the scope of the Occupational Health and Safety course opened by Pamukkale University (PAU) Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (İİBF) Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations, faculty students were given training on "Earthquake, Fire Extinguishing and Evacuation" by Denizli Metropolitan Fire Department personnel.
In the training attended by Prof. Dr. Oğuz Karadeniz, Head of the Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations of PAU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, faculty members and students taking the Occupational Health and Safety course; information was given on earthquake, fire prevention, protection, evacuation, rescue and fire fighting.
In the training, information on fires that may occur during the operation, maintenance and use of all kinds of structures, buildings, facilities and enterprises used in the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences students who will work in various institutions and organizations in the future within the scope of the regulation on the fire protection of buildings and explanations were also made to increase their awareness to minimize the damage in case of possible fire and disaster situations. Finally, at the end of the training, fire extinguishing tools were introduced and how to use them was shown practically. With the participation of faculty members, Pamukkale University Disaster and Emergency Branch Manager Civil Defense Specialist Hanım Girdal and all students, fire extinguishers were emptied and extinguished within the scope of fire intervention training in a safe area.
At the end of the event, Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Hülya Kabakçı Karadeniz and Faculty Member Necla İrem Ölmezoğlu İri, who conducts the Occupational Health and Safety course, presented a certificate of appreciation to the experts of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department.
