Prof. Dr. Ayşe Nur İnci Kenar, Responsible Physician of the Community Mental Health Center at Pamukkale University (PAU) Hospitals, made statements within the scope of March 30 World Bipolar Day.
In her statement, Prof. Dr. Ayşe Nur İnci Kenar, Responsible Physician of the Community Mental Health Center at PAU Hospitals, expressed the following: “Bipolar disorder is a condition known among the public as manic depressive disorder. During the process, difficulties may be experienced due to loss of functionality in social, societal, and individual life. Our Community Mental Health Center guides and accompanies individuals on this journey from recovery to productivity. At our center, under the guidance of our psychologist, case managers, and public education instructors, it is aimed for individuals to cope with the difficulties they encounter in their personal and social lives and to exist in society as productive individuals in the recovery process through psychoeducation, group psychotherapy, occupational therapy, drama therapy, and folk dance training. In addition, our center also serves patients with schizophrenia who experience similar difficulties. We welcome all individuals who request our companionship and support during the schizophrenia and bipolar disorder process and who wish to move forward together on the journey to productivity to our center.”
