Held at the Şehit Piyade Teğmen Bekir Can Kerek Conference Hall in Block A of the Pamukkale University (PAU) Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, the event featured a lecture by Deputy Minister Prof. Lutfihak Alpkan on scientific research and publication ethics. Drawing considerable interest from FEAS faculty members and EYS’26 participants, Prof. Alpkan began by discussing the concepts of ethics and research ethics, emphasizing that the moral principles accepted by society are equally binding for researchers. He highlighted the importance of ethical principles and elaborated on the fundamental principles of the research and publication process. Prof. Alpkan also examined, with detailed examples, various types of ethical violations that may arise in scientific research. In addition, the conference addressed controversial research practices such as conflicts of interest, p-hacking, and HARKing, as well as the sanctions researchers may face as a result of ethical violations.

The conference, which attracted significant interest from EYS participants and faculty members, concluded with a group photograph.
