Pamukkale University (PAU) Hospitals has launched the Emergency Response and Patient Transfer Unit with the aim of ensuring that healthcare services are delivered more rapidly, safely, and effectively.
The newly established Emergency Response and Patient Transfer Unit carries out patient transfers between healthcare institutions within and outside the province using emergency ambulances under the coordination of the 112 Command and Control Center. The unit also plays an important role by providing rapid and effective emergency medical services in cases requiring urgent intervention within the Pamukkale University campus.
The opening ceremony, held to mark the launch of the Emergency Response and Patient Transfer Unit, was attended by Pamukkale University Vice Rector Prof. İbrahim Türkçüer, PAU Hospitals Chief Physician Prof. Hakan Alkan, Deputy Chief Physician Prof. Atakan Yılmaz, Chief Administrative Officer Dr. Murat Taşer, and Deputy Hospital Administrator Osman Dirmilli.
The Emergency Response and Patient Transfer Unit, which has begun operating within PAU Hospitals, contributes to the coordinated management of inter-hospital patient transfers while also undertaking the effective delivery of emergency healthcare services required across the university campus.
