Children Delighted on World Kidney Day

The second Thursday of March was declared as "World Kidney Day" by the International Nephrology Association and the International Federation of Kidney Foundations.
Pediatric Nephrology Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ilknur Girisgen said:"Kidney transplant is the most ideal kidney replacement therapy. The majority of kidney transplants in our country and in the world are made from living donors (80%) from relatives, and the rate of kidney transplantation from cadavers is still very low. In order to increase this, effective activity of all social groups is required. With organ donation, you can be a kidney to little souls."
