PAU Aims for International Growth with Health Tourism Agreements
Through strategic health tourism agreements initiated by Pamukkale University (PAU) Health Tourism Coordination, PAU Hospitals and Pamukkale University Thermal Rehabilitation Center (PAUTERM) continue to expand their international collaborations.
Following a recent contract with Turkuaz Holiday, Pamukkale University (PAU) has taken another significant step toward expanding its reach in the field of health tourism. A new two-year agreement has been signed with Bari-Est, a leading agency from Izmir specializing in aesthetic surgery and bariatric treatments, aimed at creating new opportunities for PAU Hospitals and the Pamukkale University Thermal Rehabilitation Center (PAUTERM) in the health tourism sector. Under the leadership of Senem Bükülmeyen Coşar, Bari-Est has started referring patients to relevant departments at PAU Hospitals. This collaboration aims to increase Pamukkale University’s visibility in the international health tourism market and make it a globally preferred destination. Bari-Est will also help promote PAU Hospitals’ services to a broader audience, leveraging its strong industry references and experience.
Another partnership was established in Edirne with Aegean Healthcare, a company well-versed in the Balkan region. A two-year contract was signed with the company, led by Egemen Aydın, to boost demand for PAUTERM. Aegean Healthcare promoted PAUTERM at the Health Tourism Fair held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, increasing the visibility of PAUTERM in the Balkans. Aegean Healthcare’s long-term goal is to introduce PAUTERM to the targeted audience in the region. PAU Health Tourism Coordinator, Academician Mustafa Zait Balıkçı, emphasized that these agreements are part of ongoing efforts to engage with other capable agencies and further strengthen the health tourism infrastructure for PAU Hospitals and PAUTERM. Balıkçı stated that PAUTERM is rapidly advancing toward becoming a significant global center for health tourism, and PAU Hospitals are working tirelessly to reach a larger international patient base.
