ALATAY Returns With Two Awards From TEKNOFEST Efficiency Challenge Electric Vehicle Races

PAU ATAY Team returned with two awards from the "TÜBİTAK Efficiency Challenge Electric Vehicle Races" organized by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) within the scope of the Aviation, Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST) with its electromobile vehicle named ALATAY. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Necip Atar visited the ATAY Team members at the Faculty of Engineering and congratulated them on their success and examined the award-winning ALATAY electromobile vehicle.
Atay Team Advisor and PAU Faculty of Engineering Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. Selim Köroğlu stated the following on the subject: “Pamukkale University Atay Team received the Preliminary Technical Control Video award this year with the vehicle they produced by completing the design and production stages. In addition, it was entitled to receive the Promotion and Dissemination Incentive Award for the promotional activities during the preparation process for the competition. We would like to thank Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, the management of our University and all our sponsors for their support. The Atay team aims to continue its work as a pioneering team in electric vehicle studies in the coming years and to participate in the races, which are the top classification in which multinational teams participate.”
One Hundred Percent Domestic Production ALATAY
ATAY Team Captain PAU Engineering Faculty Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department student Mikail Zeki Kızılkoca stated that they worked with great devotion and effort for two semesters and underlined that they used local parts in all of their new vehicles. Pamukkale University Atay Team, which is assertive about being local, produced all of the components, including 4 mandatory and 7 optional components specified in the Technical Design Report Preparation Guide, locally. All of the engine, motor driver, vehicle control system, battery management system, internal charging unit, battery packaging, electronic differential application, isolation monitoring device, door system, brake and steering systems were designed locally by the team.
