Psychological Assessment Service at PAU Hospitals
The Psychological Assessment Unit of Pamukkale University Hospitals (PAU) provides comprehensive testing, assessment, and psychoeducation services for both outpatient and inpatient patients by working in coordination with different clinics.
PAU Hospitals Psychologist Hidayet İmançlı made the following statements: “At the Psychological Assessment Unit, we carry out our work in coordination with other units of our hospital, primarily the Psychiatry Hospital. In addition to adult and child/adolescent psychiatry, we provide services in cooperation with various clinics such as the Community Mental Health Center, AMATEM, the Obesity Unit, Neurology, and Organ Transplantation. Our aim is to contribute scientifically to treatment processes by conducting observations and assessments of patients who are referred from relevant departments and who receive outpatient or inpatient treatment. Our unit has a wide range of psychometric tests. We administer personality assessment tests, projective tests, developmental tests, neuropsychological tests, attention and intelligence tests, and evaluate the data obtained through methods such as interviews, clinical observation, and case analysis with a holistic approach. We record patient-specific reports we prepare through the Hospital Information Management System (HBYS). In addition, we conduct individual and group interviews and organize psychoeducation programs at regular intervals. By contributing to in-house and external training activities, and as part of the medical team, we attach great importance to the personal rights and privacy of the individuals we serve. Protecting and strengthening community mental health is among our primary priorities. In order to maintain our professional development, we participate in up-to-date trainings, closely follow relevant legislation, and conduct regular in-service training seminars. We aim to provide qualified services to as many patients as possible with a scientifically based, ethically grounded, and holistic approach.”
