Opening Ceremony Held for the New Conference Hall of Honaz Vocational School
The opening ceremony of the Hatice Gülşen Çetin Conference Hall at Pamukkale University (PAU) Honaz Vocational School was held on February 17 with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör.
The ceremony was attended by Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör, Honaz Municipality Mayor Yüksel Kepenek, Honaz Vocational School Director Assistant Professor Necla İrem İri, members of the Honaz District Protocol, the Çetin family, academic and administrative staff of Honaz Vocational School, and students.
Following the cutting of the ribbon for the opening of the Hatice Gülşen Çetin Conference Hall, protocol speeches were delivered. Honaz Vocational School Director Assistant Professor Necla İrem İri expressed her sincere thanks to the Çetin Companies Group, the Çetin family, and Board Chairman Ali Çetin for their significant support in the construction of a fully equipped, modern conference hall that the school needed. She stated that Honaz Vocational School would continue to maintain both academic achievements and social and cultural successes, and expressed her satisfaction that the Hatice Gülşen Çetin Conference Hall would serve students as a multi-purpose venue.
In his speech, Çetin Companies Group Board Chairman Ali Çetin said, “In line with our responsibility to Denizli and our country, we continue to contribute to education. Investment in our youth is the most valuable investment.”
Speaking at the ceremony, Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör emphasized the great importance of university–industry cooperation and stated that such facilities, which contribute to the scientific and social development of students and academics, add significant value to Pamukkale University’s educational vision.
At the end of the event, Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör and Honaz Vocational School Director Assistant Professor Necla İrem İri presented plaques and flowers to Çetin Companies Group Chairman Ali Çetin and his mother Hatice Gülşen Çetin.
