12.11.2025
Pamukkale University (PAU) has taken an important step to enhance healthy nutrition options for students and staff with celiac disease. Under the leadership of Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör, the “Gluten-Free Menu” service, prepared at the Central Dining Hall, has officially started at the Sarı Salon.

During the opening, Rector Prof. Dr. Güngör inspected the facility and received detailed information from the responsible staff. Highlighting the significance of the gluten-free menu as a gesture of sensitivity toward celiac patients, Rector Güngör emphasized that this service reflects an inclusive approach to nutrition within the university. Thanks to this initiative, individuals with special dietary requirements can access suitable meal options on campus.

Demonstrating its commitment to inclusivity and the well-being of students and staff, Pamukkale University will offer gluten-free lunch service at the Sarı Salon on weekdays from 11:00 to 13:30, with a seating capacity of approximately 50 people. The meals will follow a fixed menu format, planned weekly, and will include options such as meat dishes, vegetable menus, salads, and other suitable gluten-free items.

Staff and students wishing to benefit from the Sarı Salon can make reservations through the Central Dining Hall’s Nutrition Services Branch Directorate via the HalkBank Campus System used at Pamukkale University. The initiative promotes the motto “Freedom in Every Bite”, ensuring accessible and safe dining for those requiring or preferring gluten-free nutrition.
