PAU and KalDer Sign 'National Quality Movement' Declaration of Goodwill
The National Quality Movement Declaration of Goodwill, which symbolizes that Pamukkale University will adopt and implement the EFQM Model, was signed by Pamukkale University (PAU) Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and Yılmaz Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Quality Association (KalDer).
Pamukkale University, which is included in the 'National Quality Movement' with the EFQM Excellence Recognition Program, a non-profit non-governmental organization that supports the learning and development of individuals and organizations around the world by using innovative approaches and insights gained through data-based information, an effective relationship network and a defined model, has taken the first step towards 'Determining Institutional Maturity Level' with the goodwill protocol signed with KalDer.
KalDer President Bayraktar said: "Our university is now with us on this journey"
Speaking at the signing ceremony held at the Rectorate Senate Hall, Yılmaz Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Quality Association (KalDer), said the following: "We are here today on a very special day with the invitation of Pamukkale University. Pamukkale University is embarking on a very important journey with this signature today as a member of the National Quality Movement. Management and quality systems change almost every ten years due to economic, political and socioeconomic reasons. Universities are also gradually changing and transforming their education systems. As KalDer, we have been guiding organizations with our knowledge and experience for nearly 35 years with our competent team of trainers and consultants. This process has started with Pamukkale University as of today. May it be auspicious."
Rector Kutluhan: "By joining the National Quality Movement, we will move our university to a higher quality area. KalDer will guide us"
In his speech, PAU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan stated the following: "Today, we are very happy and proud to sign the 'Declaration of Goodwill' regarding the National Quality Movement as a University. Our university has been working very intensively on quality for three years. The most important reason for this is hidden in the mission and vision it has changed. It has set out with the mission of 'Producing University' and the vision of 'University is the guide of life'. Our aim here is to integrate with the city. We closely follow the movements in the city. The city also follows us closely. We organize many events and meetings together with the city. The quality here and our meeting with the city has also made us very happy. Currently, many transformations are needed to create a sustainable quality, from sustainable energy to the establishment of a sustainable local life. You are aware of the difficulty of following these transformations as a university. But it will be very easy for us to follow them within the framework of a national quality movement. We will get help from them and they will guide us in this regard. We will also move our university to a higher quality area. As you know, Pamukkale University is trying to realize the transformation that will take place in the entire education program, which we call digital transformation, artificial intelligence and full automation.
In the recent past, we have also passed the quality accreditations of the Council of Higher Education. While we are confident that we do not have any deficiencies in terms of quality, it would be good for both our university and Denizli to be audited and to eliminate our deficiencies. Thank you very much."
After the speeches, the declaration of goodwill was signed and a group photo was taken in memory of the day. After the signing ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan shared the activities carried out within the scope of YÖKAK Institutional Accreditation Program with KalDer Board Members.
