PAU Among the Best in Turkey in the Field of Law
TUBITAK published the "Field-Based Competency Analysis of Universities 2023" report. Pamukkale University ranked among the best universities in Turkey in terms of volume and quality in the field of Law.
The aim of the report prepared by TÜBİTAK is to provide a comparative assessment of the performance of universities on the basis of their research areas, and to analyze in which of all the research areas in which a university conducts research activities, it is relatively more competent.
The report is based on an analysis of volume and quality indicators. The study includes 7 quality indicators with a total weight of 60%. These are the relative citation impact relative to the world; the number of publications of the university in the top 10% of the most cited publications worldwide; research productivity of academics; the quality of R&D and innovation projects; the number of publications cited by patents; and the contribution of international collaborations to the internationalization of our country/university. In the volume dimension, 4 indicators were included; contribution to the knowledge accumulation in the world, the share of the critical mass that creates academic value in that field in Turkey in the relevant university, R&D and innovation project volume, the relative focus index of the university relative to Turkey in the relevant field.

In her statement, Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Hülya Kabakçı Karadeniz stated that Pamukkale University Faculty of Law, which admitted its first students in 2018, has grown rapidly and has contributed valuable works to the national and international literature in the field of Law with its strong academic staff. In this way, Pamukkale University entered the best research area region in terms of quality and volume in the "Field-Based Competence Analysis of Universities" report of TÜBİTAK in the field of Law in 2023 for the first time. Prof. Dr. Kabakçı Karadeniz thanked the academic staff for their devoted work and the university rectorate for their support.
