Little Yaman's Wish Come True

With the support of PAUTOHSAM, PAU Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Sports Management Students, Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Sports Center and Denizli-Fenerbahçe fan group, Yaman Mercan, who has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), realized a dream within the framework of the 'Make Your Wish Come True' project.
Pamukkale University Community Service and Social Responsibility Application and Research Center (PAÜTOHSAM) officials and Pamukkale University Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Sports Management Students rolled up their sleeves to realize the dreams of little Yaman Mercan, who is also a member of the Şehit Ömer Halisdemir Sports Center, to watch a match of the team with the fans and to take part in the ceremony.
In this context, before the athletes set off for the Fenerbahçe - Hatayspor football match, little Yaman and his family, together with Hakan Erdat, the representative of Denizli-Fenerbahçe fan group, visited Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan in his office and conveyed their thanks. On December 27, 2022, during the Fenerbahçe-Hatay match, little Yaman, who had the chance to watch the ceremony and watch the match with the fans, was accompanied by PAU TOHSAM officials, students of the Sports Management Department of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Denizli-Fenerbahçe fan group.
PAU TOHSAM Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Uğur Sönmezoğlu thanked everyone who supported the work carried out within the scope of the 'Make Your Wish Come True' project and expressed his feelings as follows: "We would like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, who gave us the biggest support within the scope of the project, the students of the Sports Management Department of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, who never left little Yaman alone from Denizli to Istanbul, and Hakan Erdat, the representative of Denizli-Fenerbahçe fan group."
