Erasmus Sports Project to Break Gender Segregation with PAU as a Partner

Pamukkale University (PAU) Faculty of Sport Sciences' (SBF) Erasmus Sport Project "Women in Sport: Gender Relations and Future Perspectives" aims to support the spread of sporting activity among young people, especially women, by breaking down mental stereotypes and gender discrimination in the light of the supportive values of sport.
Among the main objectives of the Erasmus Sport Project "Women in Sport: Gender Relations and Future Perspectives" are to promote the spread of sporting activity among young people, especially women, by breaking down mental stereotypes and gender discrimination in the light of the supportive values of sport; to increase the awareness of athletes, coaches, managers and all other stakeholders about the importance of sport and physical activity in terms of education, health, well-being, quality of life and social inclusion; to increase cooperation across Europe by increasing knowledge sharing between institutions and organizations. The preliminary information meeting of the project was held online under the coordination of UCAM University in Spain.
Pamukkale University (PAU) is represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Y. Aytül Dağlı Ekmekçi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Mülazımoğlu Ballı and Lecturer Dr. Yeliz İlgar Doğan from the Faculty of Sports Sciences, and the first workshop is planned to be held in Pisa, Italy in January 2023.
Pamukkale University Faculty of Sport Sciences' "Women In Sport: Gender Relations And Future Perspectives" will be carried out between January 2023 and December 2024 in partnership with universities and non-governmental organizations from Spain, Italy, Turkey, Portugal, Greece, Ireland and Norway.
