Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan met with members of the press at the breakfast he held at Pamukkale University Guesthouse on the 3rd anniversary of his duty as rector.
Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan met with local and national press representatives at the guesthouse of the university. Ahmet Kutluhan answered the questions of local and national press representatives on his third anniversary as the rector of Pamukkale University. In the first meeting with the press representatives, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan stated that this meeting was postponed due to the fact that he started to work during the pandemic period and that the activities to heal the wounds of the earthquake that occurred in Kahramanmaraş on February 6, 2023 and affected many provinces were actively carried out.
Rector Kutluhan said; “Our province of Denizli ranks 8th in Turkey in terms of exports. Agricultural exports are made to 586 companies. Therefore, you can find whatever you are looking for in Denizli. First of all, we wanted the vision of our university to be the producing university of the producing city. As the second vision, we wanted the university to be the guide of life. If our university guides, our city will have to develop itself. We have been working for 3 years for the integrated progress of our city and our university.”
Rector Prof. Dr. Kutluhan said the following about Pamukkale Technocity: “Technocity is the first step for the development of technology. Our Technocity has started to achieve success at this point, but since the Technocity is not enough for us, we will start to establish another hangar-type technocity. Our most important step in education, in cooperation with university and industry, is to bring 3+1 and 7+1 applications. Our industrialist will be able to see our young person who worked with him for 3 months and ask him to work with him after school. We will give our industrialists the chance to experience and identify the employee.”
Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan answered the question, "How do you view the idea of a second university in Denizli?" as follows; “I look positively. A second university is very necessary for Denizli. Our suggestion is to establish a high technology university in an industrial area, to include engineering technical sciences in Pamukkale University and to be like a continuation of Pamukkale University.”
After answering the questions of members of the press, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan stated that similar meetings would be held at other times.
