PAU Children's University Organized a Children's Festival with 100 Kites on the 100th Anniversary of the Republic

Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Ali Değirmenci, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Necip Atar, Prof. Dr. M. Ensar Yeşilyurt, Denizli Youth and Sports Provincial Director Ömer İlman and many families attended the event held at PAU Gölbahçe with their children.

Within the scope of the festival prepared by PAU Children's University, Denizli people and children enjoyed flying kites hand in hand with the Hıdırellez enthusiasm. The 100th anniversary of the Republic was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Kınıklı Central Campus with fun and informative workshops and games in a festival atmosphere. 

Rector Kutluhan: "It is an important touch for the future that children who will study at university in the future play games in the university and feel themselves in the university gardens."

We were together with our children, the guarantee of our future. They showed their own skills, played their favorite games, and did something in the workshops opened by the very experienced teachers of our University, which enabled their personal development and socialization. These two events organized by the esteemed professors of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and the Faculty of Education of our University took place today with a very high participation. I congratulate both organizations. It is an important touch for the future that children who will study at university in the future play games inside the university and feel themselves in the university gardens. We would like to thank the organizers of these events that take us back to our childhood."

In private conversations with some of the children, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan asked them what they wanted to be in the future. The children gave interesting answers to Rector Kutluhan and it was a nice moment.

Speaking about the children's festival organized and the children's activities prepared, PAU Children's University Director Prof. Dr. Fatma Taşkın Ekici stated the following: "We prepared 100 kites within the scope of the PAU Children's Festival, which we prepared on the 100th anniversary of the founding of our Republic on April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day, and we enjoyed flying the kites with our children participating in the festival. Many children's workshops, theater plays, origami, music activities and a mini concert were also organized within the scope of the festival. Due to the beginning of Hıdrellez, our small treats made our participating children smile. We would like to thank the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Denizli Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, Rectorate, PAU Sports Center, TEGEV, Cafer Sadık Abalıoğlu Education and Culture Foundation, all the professors I worked with at PAU Children's University, our volunteer students and the student communities of our University for their support in the preparation of our festival."
