At the “Future Professions” meeting organized by YÖK, where the new vision of higher education focused on digital transformation was discussed, Pamukkale University was represented by Director of the Center for Corporate Communication Application and Research (KİMER) Prof. Dr. Eylin Aktaş and Science Communication Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bahar Türk. The meeting, attended by YÖK Vice President Prof. Dr. Naci Gündoğan, Executive Board Member Prof. Dr. Mahmut Ak, and members of the General Assembly, addressed the promotion strategies of associate and undergraduate programs supported by digital transformation and artificial intelligence integration in universities, and an exemplary science café simulation in the field of cybersecurity was conducted.
PAU Attracts Attention with Concrete Steps in This Field
Among the key initiatives that concretize the university’s vision are the establishment of the Artificial Intelligence and Data Engineering Department within the Faculty of Engineering, the Digital Agricultural Technologies Program opened at Çal Vocational School, Türkiye’s first domestic campus artificial intelligence system “PAUAI,” and the ongoing establishment of the Denizli Organized Industrial Zone Vocational School in cooperation with Denizli OSB, as well as the alignment of existing departments with digital transformation and artificial intelligence technologies.
