Mentor–Mentee Program Held at Faculty of Engineering in Collaboration with DESİAD
One of the most concrete and meaningful examples of university–industry collaboration, the Pamukkale University (PAU) – DESİAD Mentor–Mentee Program was successfully implemented and completed this year with its first application.
The Mentor–Mentee Program 2026 Evaluation Meeting was held on June 10 at the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Engineering at Pamukkale University, with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör.
The event began with opening speeches by DESİAD President Nuri Turgut and Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör. Afterwards, a panel was held, jointly moderated by Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör and DESİAD President Nuri Turgut. During the panel, the results of online surveys conducted for mentors and mentees regarding the 2026 Mentor–Mentee Program process were evaluated, and suggestions for future mentor–mentee meetings were discussed.
Within the scope of the panel, DESİAD members Okan Konyalıoğlu, Süleyman Kocasert, Sibel Aysu, and Meryem Salman, along with students from the Faculty of Engineering, shared their opinions and experiences about the program with participants.
Throughout the program, representatives of the Denizli industry shared their knowledge and experience with students, while students gained significant insights that will shed light on their career paths. At the end of the program, the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Engineering expressed its gratitude to all mentors who contributed to the process and to the students who actively participated in the program.
