The “My Career Story” event was organized by the Anesthesia Program of Pamukkale University (PAU) Denizli Health Services Vocational School (DSHMYO) by Assistant Professor Tuğçe Yeşilyaprak Karaca, Lecturer Dr. Hilal Parlak Sert, and Lecturer Dr. Hatice Gencer Alsancak.
The event, held on March 12 to contribute to the professional development of students, featured Dr. Nadir Kaplan as a speaker, who has been working as an anesthesia technician for many years and continues his research on nano-magnetic materials, with his presentation titled “Hidden Heroes of Hospitals: Anesthesia Technicians Past, Present and Future.”
Dr. Kaplan, who focused on the working areas of anesthesia technicians, the importance of teamwork, and professional responsibilities, drew attention to the critical role of anesthesia technicians in the healthcare system. In addition, he made suggestions on activities that students can undertake to improve themselves. During the event, important information was shared with students about career planning and development opportunities in the profession after anesthesia technician training.
In the question-and-answer session of the event, which attracted great interest from students, students had the opportunity to directly ask their questions to someone from among themselves who has advanced in his career. It was stated by the Anesthesia Program that such events, held in a sincere atmosphere and aiming to increase students’ professional awareness, will continue in the upcoming periods.
