FEDEK Evaluation Process Completed in the Departments of Archaeology and English Language and Literature

The Department of Archaeology and the Department of English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of Pamukkale University (PAU) successfully completed the evaluation process conducted by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Curricula in Science, Literature, Science-Literature, Language and History-Geography Faculties (FEDEK).

At the final stage of the process, the exit meeting was attended by Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Prof. Dr. Bilal Söğüt, Head of the Department of Archaeology Prof. Dr. Celal Şimşek, Head of the Department of English Language and Literature Prof. Dr. Şeyda Sivrioğlu, and academic staff from the relevant departments. During the meeting, evaluation reports prepared for the departments were shared by the Head of the Evaluation Team, Prof. Dr. Figen Kadırgan, and the evaluation team members.

Within the scope of the FEDEK evaluation process, the departments’ educational activities, academic infrastructure, quality assurance practices, and continuous improvement efforts were examined. In the evaluations carried out, it was stated that the academic activities and quality-oriented practices conducted by the departments made significant contributions to institutional development. The successful completion of the FEDEK evaluation process in the Departments of Archaeology and English Language and Literature was considered an important contribution to the university’s efforts to improve educational quality and strengthen accreditation practices.
