Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Gives a Seminar at Erbakır Science High School

PAU Faculty of Education Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özen Yıldırım gave a seminar at Denizli Erbakır Science High School on "Procedures and Methods in Scientific Research" for the "Science Practice Project in High Schools" implemented by the Ministry of National Education. The aim of the seminar given within the scope of the MoNE project is to introduce the scientific research process to secondary school students and to support the structuring of the studies they will participate in scientific research at national and international level.

The event held at Denizli Erbakır Science High School was attended by students from Science High Schools and Anatolian High Schools in Denizli and teachers who will be consultants for the projects prepared in these schools. In the presentation made to students and teachers: What is science and why is it needed? What are the steps of scientific research? What are the problem and its definition, literature review, purpose, importance and limitations of the research? How is a research type determined and how is the research structured according to this type? What is the population and sample? How should the data be collected and what should be considered in this regard? Finally, scientific ethics in research was explained to the participants with examples.
