A Visit from South Korea to Acıpayam Vocational School

A delegation from South Korea, led by Hong Je-yong, the Regional Director of the Korea Human Resources Development Center (HRDK) in Seoul, visited Acıpayam Vocational School (Acıpayam MYO).

The delegation from South Korea visited Acıpayam Vocational School (Acıpayam MYO) to gain insights into Türkiye's vocational education system, assess the employment status of graduates, and examine the societal perception and status of skilled workers. During the visit, the Korean delegation explored the educational programs offered at Acıpayam MYO and had the opportunity to learn about the developments in Türkiye's vocational education by consulting with department heads.

The delegation included notable figures such as Choi Do-kyu, Head of the Vocational Guidance and Education Department of the Seoul Education Office, Yeo Ji-baek, Principal of Semyeong Computer High School, Park Seon-gap, Principal of Seoul Dijitek High School, and Lee Jo-bok, Principal of Seoul Industrial High School. These leaders, who have earned gold medals in South Korea's national vocational competitions in fields like jewelry making, cloud computing, and web design and development, also participated in the visit.

Dr. Senem Tüfekçi, the Director of Acıpayam MYO, highlighted that the visit would pave the way for deeper collaboration between Türkiye and South Korea in education and vocational skill development. It was emphasized that sharing experiences from both countries' vocational education systems would be a significant step toward further strengthening ties.

The visit concluded with the exchange of ideas on vocational education systems and the foundation of potential joint projects, accompanied by the presentation of a gift to the director of the vocational school by the South Korean delegation.
