"AD Project Creative Ideas" Competition Organized by the Faculty of Communication Ends
The fifth edition of the AD Project: Creative Ideas competition organized by the Faculty of Communication, which has become a tradition, has ended. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and faculty members of the Faculty of Communication gave awards to the students who ranked in the competition.
Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, Faculty Deans and Faculty Members attended the closing program. Different projects competed in the event organized by PAU Faculty of Communication Public Relations Department. The projects presented for 4 days were evaluated by the jury and the winning projects were announced. Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and Dean of the Faculty of Communication Prof. Dr. Ali Soylu made their speeches at the award ceremony that started with opening speeches.
Dean Soylu: "We want to realize our New Media and Communication Department in the coming period."
Speaking at the ceremony, Pamukkale University Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Dr. Ali Soylu stated the following: "As a result of an exciting process that started on Monday and has been going on for four days, we will crown our students who will take the lead and receive their awards by awarding them today. I would like to thank the Rector for his attendance and presence, and I would also like to thank our other guests. In fact, as I said in our opening program, this event is the result of the trainings we have given. We organize a final event every semester, especially in the fall semester, such as advertising projects and design projects. We listen to them in a contest format. We subject them to a grading. In the spring semester, we carry out our corporate communication projects, and in fact, as the department of public relations and publicity, these two main categories constitute the summary of our education and training activities. In our university, we have been implementing the problem-based education model, which our Rector has adopted a lot, in our own liaison for about ten years. When each of our students graduates from here, they are able to prepare an advertising design project. They can do the work of a company in this sense. At the same time, they are able to prepare a corporate communication project. Therefore, we believe that we train our students well-equipped in all areas that appeal to our target audience. Of course, at this point, I would like to thank our faculty members. I would especially like to thank Ms. Yasemin and Ms. Eylin for conducting these courses, because this is a really difficult process. They listen to all our students in groups for a semester, evaluate them, and participate in all their projects. They are in contact day and night. They strive to make these projects perfect. We are organizing the fifth edition of this competition this season and I hope we will continue to do so. There have been developments that also motivate us in this regard. We are looking for companies related to all these studies we have done. We invite them to our university to watch the relevant advertising or public relations projects prepared by our students. In this context, this year we had companies coming from Istanbul and NGOs coming from Izmir. In this context, we also asked for civil society projects from our students in Eylin Hocam's course this semester. If we are fortunate, we hope to make it more professional in the next semester, and we hope to make it with a much wider participation from the private sector, public institutions, all institutions and organizations from related fields in a feast atmosphere. In the coming period, we want to realize our New Media and Communication Department. We would like to start with a 7+1 model while we are building this department. Subsequently, we are planning to launch our Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. Again, we aim to create an infrastructure that will enable our students to take firm steps into business life in a sense by ensuring that our students are in the field in their last semesters in the private sector and public institutions in the form of a 7 + 1 model. I would like to thank all our professors who contributed to this event, our jury members who took part, and all our students who made the effort to make the designs that took the burden of the work. I would like to thank our main sponsor Kanguroo Creative Advertising Agency, a company founded by our friends who graduated from Pamukkale University. They supported us from the beginning to the end. I offer my respect and love to all of you."
Rector Kutluhan: "We see that our university meets the requirements of being a university in all fields."
Speaking at the ceremony, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan said: "I am very proud and happy. This is how we dream of a university. We are experiencing the happiness of achieving these dreams or seeing these dreams come true. We have always said that our aim should be 'Producing University'. Here you are producing. Our goal should be 'University as a Guide for Life'. Here you have become a guide. Our aim should be 'Integration with the city'. Here you are integrated with the city. Finally, we said that we should be proud of raising graduates who can do useful work for humanity, who can do work and who will lead the world to peace. We see that the Faculty of Communication has achieved this today. I would like to thank all our professors and congratulate all our students. How is a student different from a high school student? It is a topic we always talk about. Why should a university be different from a high school? The answer to this question is that a university student should have the capacity to learn on his/her own, to form ideas on his/her own. As a result, they should come up with solutions. Because he is already close to starting life. He will graduate from the Faculty of Communication and start working at Denizli Journalists Association. You shouldn't say that he doesn't know journalism, he came from there, he doesn't know anything, and we are hopefully doing what is necessary. In all faculties of our university, this problem was really well understood in all vocational schools. Because we participated in this creative ideas AD Project event last year. I saw that the event was more exciting this year, I saw that the participation was high, so what does this mean? It means this: We see that our university meets the requirements of being a university in all areas. If we get a good grade from the Higher Education Quality Assessment we are going through these days, I think that there will be no one holding Pamukkale University anymore. I really wanted to come to the opening of this meeting, but I could not come due to an upper respiratory tract infection. I followed the opening from the media that the opening was very beautiful. I believe that the Faculty of Communication will have an exemplary place in our university with its venue, students and professors. I greet you all with respect."
