Pioneering Project by a Scientist from PAU to Develop a New Diagnostic and Treatment Agent for MS

The project, led by a young scientist working at Pamukkale University (PAU) Plant Genetics and Agricultural Biotechnology Application and Research Center, Lecturer Dr. Özden Özgün Acar, will lead the development of a new diagnostic and therapeutic agent for MS disease.
She stated that the aim of this project is to carry out pioneering studies in the development of a new diagnostic and therapeutic agent for MS by determining the MS relationship and related metabolome changes through the pentose-phosphate pathway, which is seen as the brain of metabolism of the therapeutic or prophylactic effect of the probiotic.
