PAU became one of the 20 stakeholder universities of the 'Sector on Campus Program' initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, which aims to enable students to learn the developments in the relevant technology fields through industrial applications. PAU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, who attended the introductory meeting, said that they will take their experience in university-industry cooperation to the next level thanks to this program.

The introductory meeting of the 'Sector on Campus Program', initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, where universities and the private sector will come together in order to enable students to produce more competent and value-creating products in the relevant technology fields, was held at the Presidential Complex National Library. While 20 stakeholder universities and 20 well-established companies from the private sector took part in the program, PAU, one of the stakeholder universities of the Sector on Campus Program, was represented by Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. M. Ensar Yeşilyurt.

Within the scope of the program, which increases the importance of cooperation between universities and the private sector, the knowledge and experiences in the business world will be transferred to students by professionals working in the sector. Within the scope of the 14-week program, lectures will be given on 36 different topics such as system engineering, cyber security and quantum computing. After the trainings, more than 1,500 students will also have the opportunity for internships.

Rector Kutluhan: "A program that will take our cooperation with industry to the next level"

Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan, who shared his thoughts after the introductory meeting of the Sector on Campus Program, reminded that they have determined one of the university themes as 'university-industry cooperation' from the moment they took office and that they have taken concrete steps in this regard, and reminded that students have the opportunity to put the knowledge they have acquired into practice in industrial applications through internship programs with the industry. Rector Prof. Dr. Kutluhan continued his words as follows: "The air of unity that our university has achieved with our city in every field has manifested itself in every field from education to health, from science to social responsibility activities; both our students and our industry have gained significant gains, especially thanks to our collaborations with professional organizations. While our students reinforce their knowledge with industrial applications, our companies meet their need for qualified labor force by employing our students after their internships. We are extremely happy to be a stakeholder of this program, which I believe will bring a new breath to the National Technology Move of our country, which has gained a different dimension with TECHNOFEST competitions. I believe that we will take the experience we have gained in university-industry cooperation to the next level thanks to this program."
