Child Abuse Awareness Panel at PAU
Hosted by Pamukkale University (PAU) Faculty of Health Sciences, a panel titled “Awareness of Child Abuse: A Multidisciplinary Approach” will be held on Friday, December 6, under the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sebahat Altundağ, a faculty member from the Department of Pediatric Nursing at PAU Faculty of Health Sciences.
The panel will take place on Friday, December 6, from 10:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Melek Sözkesen Conference Hall of Pamukkale University’s Faculty of Education. It is planned as a two-session event.
In the first session, titled “Awareness of Child Abuse: Fundamental Processes,” presentations will include:
“Awareness of Child Abuse” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sebahat Altundağ from the Department of Pediatric Nursing at PAU Faculty of Health Sciences.
“Recognizing Abuse” by Emergency Education Volunteer Dr. Mustafa Yorgancı.
The second session, focusing on “Support Processes in Child Abuse,” will feature presentations on:
“Psychological Support” by Psychologist Beyza İyilikci Kocabatmaz, Denizli Coordinator for Guidance, Counseling, and Training at UCIM.
“Legal Support” by Lawyer Sedanur Yıldırım Taslacı, Denizli Legal Coordinator at UCIM.
“Community Support” by Didem Cabi Seçal, UCIM Türkiye Structuring Officer, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kudret Aykırı from PAU Faculty of Education, Advisor of the Blue Butterflies Children’s Rights Community.
