Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan: "As PAU, we are organizing many activities special for the 100th anniversary of our Republic. We are very proud to hold one of the most important of these events today, the 23rd National Tourism Congress in Pamukkale, the most beautiful resort in the world. Denizli is such a place that it can appeal to all areas of tourism with its geoparks, ancient cities, gastronomy, intangible cultural heritage, natural beauties and thermal health tourism. As proven by scientific studies, it is known that the thermal waters of Karahayıt have been healing since ancient times. As a university, we have established PAUTERM, a very large facility for this thermal resource to serve thermal health tourism with scientific methods. On January 11-13, 2024, we organized a forum for the international promotion of this thermal health facility together with Denizli Metropolitan Municipality. I invite you all to this forum and wish our congress to be auspicious."
The opening program of the congress ended with Denizli MPs; Cahit Özkan, Şahin Tin, Şeref Arpacı, Gülizar Biçer Karaca and Şeref Arpacı presenting certificates of appreciation and plaques to the contributing stakeholders.
