23rd National Tourism Congress Ends

The 23rd National Tourism Congress, hosted by Pamukkale University (PAU) Faculty of Tourism and attended by 187 researchers from 32 different countries, has ended.

The 23rd National Tourism Congress, one of the most well-established scientific events in the field of tourism in Turkey, was hosted by PAU Faculty of Tourism at Colossea Thermal & Spa Hotel between October 13-15, 2023. The congress, where scientific and social activities were carried out together for three days with the theme of "Tourism Education", was attended by Denizli provincial protocol, leading representatives of the sector, invited panelists and a total of 187 researchers from 32 different universities. Ninety-five papers were presented face-to-face in scientific sessions within the scope of the congress. Training seminars were organized by expert trainers for researchers in the early stages of their academic careers. Doyen academicians of tourism had the opportunity to get to know Denizli more closely with trips to Buldan, Pamukkale, Hierapolis and Laodicea.

At the gala dinner organized for the participants of the congress in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic, a folk dances show and a music concert including Atatürk's favorite songs were performed. Flags were flown in the sky during the balloon tour organized on the last day of the congress.

23rd National Tourism Congress was supported by Denizli Governorship, Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, TUBITAK, Pamukkale Municipality, Buldan Municipality, Denizli Chamber of Commerce, Denizli Chamber of Industry, Denizli Organized Industrial Zone, Denizli Exporters Association and Kızılhisar Local Action Group.
