Public Sector Career Paths Discussed at Sector Days
As part of the “Sector Days 2026” events carried out within Pamukkale University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (PAU FEAS), a Sector–Student Meeting themed “Public Sector” was held on April 1.
Bozkurt District Governor Enes Özkan, İŞKUR Denizli Provincial Director Çağrı Çeliktaş, and Revenue Administration Group Manager Hüseyin Ulu shared their career paths and professional experiences in the public sector with students.
Students aiming for careers in the public sector had the opportunity to obtain direct information about different institutions and positions within the scope of the event. Entry processes into professions, examination and appointment mechanisms, and experiences related to daily working life were conveyed by the three speakers.
Bozkurt District Governor Enes Özkan sincerely shared with students the process leading to the district governorship profession. Özkan, who graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Economics in 2019, began his duty in 2020 as a 109th Term Edirne District Governor Candidate after successfully passing the District Governorate Candidacy Exam organized by the Ministry of Interior. He explained in detail his internship processes, his role as Acting District Governor in Çamaş district of Ordu, and the language training he received in the United Kingdom, as well as the District Governorate Course, which he described as the “Polish of the Profession.” Addressing the students, Özkan emphasized the decisive role of determination and perseverance in professional life.
İŞKUR Denizli Provincial Director Çağrı Çeliktaş shared the institution’s employment policies for youth, job search processes, and vocational training programs, explaining with concrete examples how students can benefit from these opportunities. Revenue Administration Group Manager Hüseyin Ulu introduced the structure of the institution, the tax system, and career opportunities in the field of public finance to the students.
The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session. Students benefited from first-hand experiences by directing their questions about the public sector directly to the speakers.
