Stating that MAYZ, the Artificial Intelligence Chatbot Conveying Our Heritage developed for Denizli tourism, provides information about the province’s natural and cultural assets through different algorithms in order to enhance its competitiveness, Professor Bertan noted that MAYZ understands both spoken and written questions related to travel planning and provides the most appropriate answers quickly and directly. He also added that MAYZ offers personalized services by developing recommendations based on individual preferences.

Professor Bertan stated that MAYZ was developed to facilitate travel planning for Denizli and aims to encourage travel intentions toward the province, provide sufficient information and recommendations for travel, improve travel experiences, contribute to the better promotion of Denizli, and increase awareness of its natural and cultural heritage. He emphasized that the development of travel planning systems through MAYZ is expected to contribute to the advancement of Denizli tourism. In addition, MAYZ can be integrated with the Denizli Audio Guide Mobile Application, available at https://seslirehber.pau.edu.tr/, a project also coordinated by Dean Bertan.

In his statement regarding MAYZ, Dean Professor Serkan Bertan said:

“In the second phase of the project, MAYZ will be further developed to provide reliable information that reduces concerns related to travel planning for our country. Through this second project, it will enhance our country’s competitiveness in tourism and raise awareness of destinations and experiences throughout the country. By providing information about destinations and tourist experiences across our country in multiple languages, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, MAYZ will contribute to generating travel intentions toward our country and to promoting it more effectively. In this way, the project aims to support awareness of our natural and cultural heritage and contribute to sustainable development. MAYZ will help advance tourism in our country.”
