The university-industry collaboration project titled “ColorSense – Design of an Artificial Intelligence-Based Decision Support System for Improving the Dyed Fabric Color Quality Control Process,” prepared in cooperation with Ozanteks as part of Lecturer Mesut Aydınlı’s doctoral dissertation under the supervision of Pamukkale University (PAÜ) faculty member Prof. Dr. Olcay Polat, has been approved for support by TÜBİTAK.

The TÜBİTAK 1505 University-Industry Collaboration Project application titled “ColorSense – Design of an Artificial Intelligence-Based Decision Support System for Improving the Dyed Fabric Color Quality Control Process,” prepared with Ozanteks as the industrial partner within the scope of the industrial implementation phase of Lecturer Mesut Aydınlı’s doctoral study under the supervision of PAÜ Department of Industrial Engineering faculty member Prof. Dr. Olcay Polat, has been accepted. The project also includes five academics from PAÜ—Prof. Dr. Aşkıner Güngör, Lecturer Duygu Topaloğlu, and Research Assistant Ece Kalaycı—and three doctoral students as researchers.

The project aims to develop an artificial intelligence-based decision support system for the human-dependent color quality control process in textile dyeing plants. It is expected to make the color quality control standard more effective in the textile industry, prevent human-related errors, and achieve significant savings in quality management, labor, and energy. Additionally, improvements in water and carbon emissions are anticipated within the scope of the increasingly important green transformation.
