PAU Hospitals Support DHMİ Çardak Operations Directorate Emergency Drill

Pamukkale University (PAU) Hospitals actively participated in a large-scale fire, search-and-rescue, and triage drill held on November 6, 2025, at Denizli Airport, organized within the scope of the emergency cooperation protocol carried out with the State Airports Authority (DHMİ) Çardak Operations Directorate.

The crash drill, conducted with the participation of DHMİ Firefighting teams, Bomb Disposal units, AFAD, 112 emergency teams, and Pamukkale University Hospitals personnel, was successfully carried out to enhance preparedness for potential emergency and disaster scenarios.

On behalf of Pamukkale University Hospitals, preparations for the drill were coordinated by Deputy Hospital Director responsible for Disaster Management, Osman Dirmilli. Teams from the Disaster Management Unit, Quality Management Unit, Emergency Department personnel (ATT/UMKE), and drivers took part actively in the exercise.

Throughout the drill, a fully equipped ambulance belonging to Pamukkale University Hospitals was kept on-site and participated in the triage and patient transport procedures required by the scenario.

Planned and executed in line with a real emergency scenario, the drill once again underscored the importance of inter-institutional cooperation and made a significant contribution to improving the coordination and response capabilities of the participating institutions in emergency situations.

The administration of Pamukkale University Hospitals extended its gratitude to all personnel involved in the drill and emphasized that efforts toward disaster and emergency preparedness will continue with determination.
