Mehmet İncetekin, Responsible Manager of the Housekeeping Unit at PAU Hospitals, shared the following information in his statement:
“Every year, September 26 is celebrated as World Environmental Health Day, reminding us that a healthy life is not possible without a healthy environment. Protecting the environment is a shared responsibility not only of individuals but also of all institutions. At the forefront of these institutions are hospitals, which provide direct services to human health.
As Pamukkale University Hospital, we believe that delivering environmentally conscious healthcare services is indispensable for protecting public health. Our staff act with great responsibility in many areas, such as proper segregation of medical waste, recycling practices, water and energy conservation, and the preference for environmentally friendly products. From our physicians to our cleaning personnel, all our units work in line with environmental health principles to protect both nature and our patients. In addition, by informing patients and their relatives, we also contribute to the spread of environmental awareness throughout society,” he said.
