The event was attended by PAU Hospitals Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Hakan Alkan, Chief Director, Hospital Managers, Chair of the Department of Pediatrics Prof. Dr. Özmert M. A. Özdemir, Chair of the Pediatric Hematology Division Dr. Selin Yakarışık, the Nursing Services Department, philanthropist Saffet Girgin, members of the AK Party Denizli Provincial Youth Branch, healthcare staff, child patients, and their families.

The event, organized to share the Republic Day joy with the little patients receiving treatment at the hospital, featured music performances, face painting, coloring activities, and various games. Some of the child patients recited poems on the topics of the Republic and Atatürk during the program. Participants celebrated the holiday with the children, interacting with them. At the end of the event, gifts were distributed to the child patients.

In his brief speech, Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Hakan Alkan emphasized the significance and importance of the Republic, saying: “The Republic is our greatest legacy that teaches us to think freely, progress in the light of science, and look to the future with hope. It brings us great joy to celebrate the 102nd anniversary of our Republic with the children treated here at our hospital, putting smiles on their faces. I would like to thank all my colleagues who contributed to this meaningful day and the generous philanthropists for their support.”

The event ended with joyful moments, as the children had a great time and the Republic Day enthusiasm was fully experienced.
