Established in 2013 by Prof. Dr. Necmettin Yıldız to enhance social interaction among doctors and future physicians by enabling them to spend time together despite their demanding professional and academic schedules, the PAU Faculty of Medicine Football League has now completed its 13th season. The season finale of the organization, held under the slogan “We Have Fun Seriously,” was celebrated with an award ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by Vice Dean Associate Professor Sıtkı Ün and Deputy Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Atakan Yılmaz. The organization was coordinated by an Organizing Committee consisting of Research Assistant Dr. Serhat Ötken and students Elber Can Gözübüyük, Muhammed Enes Mayda, Faruk Selçuk, Mustafa Utku Gürbüz, Durukan Özdemir, and Barış Gürsoy, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Necmettin Yıldız.

Held under the name “Altınbaşak Season,” this year’s league featured a total of 128 athletes, including 97 medical students, 22 research assistants, and 9 faculty members. At the end of the season, Atletico Matrix became the champion, while Dinamo Neşter finished in second place and BarCELLona secured third place.

Prof. Dr. Necmettin Yıldız stated that the vision of the PAU Faculty of Medicine Football League is “to have fun seriously,” adding that the mission of the organization is to inspire people to enrich their lives and gain different perspectives.
