At the event titled “Addiction 101: Let’s Talk About Addiction During Green Crescent Week!”, Expert Psychologist Çiğdem Tekkanat from the Alcohol and Substance Addiction Application Center and Expert Psychologist Seçil Tanrıkulu Başyaran from the Green Crescent Counseling Center presented comprehensive insights into the concept of addiction.

The event was attended by Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Ercan Haytoğlu and Head of the Psychology Department Prof. Dr. İbrahim Kısaç, along with faculty members and students of the Psychology Department. During the program, valuable information about YEDAM Counseling Centers was also shared, and attention was drawn to the fact that addiction is a phenomenon intertwined with daily life, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness. The event concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to participants by Laboratory Coordinator Dr. Lecturer Zeynep Erdoğan Yıldırım.

Under the Green Crescent Week theme “You are also a Green Crescent supporter,” the event also served as an introduction to the newly established laboratory’s field of study and vision. The Addiction and Trauma Research Laboratory, operating within the Department of Psychology, aims to reach wider audiences through various activities in the upcoming period.
