The 3rd “Give Life a Hand” Event Held in Çamlık
To mark World Restart a Heart Day on October 16, the Pamukkale University Department of Health, Culture and Sports and the Nursing Unity and Awareness Community (HEBFA) organized the 3rd “Give Life a Hand” event. Held as part of PAU’s “Science Café” events, the event took place on Çamlık Avenue with great interest and participation from the people of Denizli.
The event aimed to raise public awareness of basic life support and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), providing participants with hands-on training. During the training, participants had the opportunity to practise chest compressions on mannequins and learn firsthand how correct intervention in emergencies can save lives. The outdoor activities, which continued throughout the day, highlighted the critical role of providing the correct intervention promptly in the initial moments of an emergency.
At every stage of the event, the organizing committee members, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fadime Gök, Assist. Prof. Dr. Filiz Kabu Hergül, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ayla Yavuz Karamanoğlu, Dr. Mustafa Yorgancı, and the HEBFA Executive Board, guided the participants.
