As part of the 2027 term of the Türkiye Cyber Homeland Program, a Cybersecurity Training Cooperation Protocol was signed between the South Aegean Development Agency (GEKA) and Pamukkale University (PAU). The program aims to meet the country's need for cybersecurity experts by raising awareness among university students, identifying potential talent, and encouraging and supporting career planning in digital and cybersecurity technologies through training and skills development activities.

The Cybersecurity Training Cooperation Protocol, which will be limited to the 2026–2027 academic year, was signed by Pamukkale University Rector Prof. Dr. Mahmud Güngör and GEKA Secretary General Ümit Gülyağı on behalf of the two parties.

Prepared to strengthen Türkiye’s cyber defense capacity and further increase the interest of young people seeking to specialize in cybersecurity, the Cyber Homeland Program will be implemented simultaneously across all 81 provinces of Türkiye throughout 2027. Within the scope of the program, university students in particular will receive in-depth technical training in cybersecurity and participate in team-based assignments and practical activities.
