World Diabetes Day Celebrated with Events at PAU Hospital

Diabetes is a disease that occurs due to the inability to produce the hormone insulin, which regulates blood sugar, or its insufficient effect despite its production, leading to high blood sugar. As the Pediatric Endocrinology Department team, we wanted to spend a pleasant day with our little patients on 14 November World Diabetes Day. As a team, we prepared little surprises for them. Our aim was to increase the awareness of diabetes, to provide social gathering and integration, and thus to increase the motivation in their attitudes about the disease.
