"Take Action in the Transformation of Gray into Green: Imagine, Design, Share"

The project, which included coming together with creative drama activity, design workshop, material preparation workshop, field application workshop and evaluation stages, was carried out between October 18, 2023 and October 26, 2023 with the voluntary participation of Pamukkale University Faculty of Architecture and Design Landscape Architecture students and Yaşar Kımıl Science High School Sustainable Life Club students. Students with different levels of education thought, fictionalized, drew and took action to realize the green transformation they imagined and transferred it to the field. In seven different groups of four students, students shared their ideas with the participants. Thus, high school students had the opportunity to develop their skills in developing, designing, implementing and sharing ideas about transforming gray areas into green in open public spaces through an interactive experience, as well as having an idea about the approaches of the professional discipline of Landscape Architecture. At the same time, they gained awareness on climate change, sustainability, green transformation and participation and raised awareness on these issues among the participants they interacted with during the implementation workshop phase. Undergraduate students, on the other hand, developed their academic and professional skills through project-based experiences, took an active role in meeting the needs of the society they live in and contributed to the solution of problems.
