'Student Support Unit' Established in the Faculty of Education
Pamukkale University Faculty of Education Student Support Unit (SSU-ODB) came together to support students in academic, social, psychological, economic and career-related issues.
The meeting held in the Dean's Meeting Hall was attended by the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Hülya Şahin Baltacı. Under her presidency, faculty members and student representatives from the student support unit voluntarily participated.
A store will be opened in the faculty for students
Stating that the Student Support Unit was established within the Rectorate, the relevant directive was prepared and student support units were activated in each academic unit, Prof. Dr. Hülya Şahin Baltacı gave information about the Education Faculty Student Support Unit. Prof. Dr. Baltaci said, “Our unit was established to get to know the students who continue their education life at the faculty better, to identify their problems and solutions, and to provide psycho-social support to students who cannot meet their various needs. As a result of the meticulous work of the volunteer lecturers in the faculty, the studies continue uninterruptedly. A room has been allocated for the student store. From this store, students can get clothes, stationery, food, etc., so their needs will be met.” Baltaci, who emphasized that they were met with great interest from those who wanted to support the students, said, “We are still in the establishment phase of the unit. Despite this, people who were aware of us started to make serious contributions. Thank you for that.”
We stand by the students in every aspect
Stating that the Faculty of Education Student Support Unit primarily aims to provide psychological and social support, Prof. Dr. Hülya Şahin Baltacı said, “We will be with the students in academic, economic and career-related issues. A student representing the students is working in the unit. You can reach us via e-mail, consultant or social media. Moreover, you can apply not only for yourself, but also for your friends who you think need support. You can be sure that the applications will remain confidential.
