Pamukkale University (PAU) Serinhisar Vocational School hosted Pamukkale University Engineering Faculty Geological Engineering Department Faculty Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barış Semiz, President of Denizli Branch of Chamber of Geological Engineers, during Earthquake Week.
The guest of the seminar organized by Serinhisar Vocational School Emergency and Disaster Management Program to create earthquake awareness and inform the society within the scope of March 1-7 Earthquake Week was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barış Semiz, President of Denizli Branch of Chamber of Geological Engineers. In the seminar given to Serinhisar Vocational School and Serinhisar Anatolian High School students

Stating that Denizli is located in a loose region as a soil, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semiz pointed out that with education and a conscious society, it can be more resistant to the risk of earthquakes and react faster in case of disaster.
The seminar, which was held in mutual dialogue with the students asking their questions on the subject, ended with the presentation of the certificate of appreciation to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semiz by Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Ekinci.
