Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan made their speeches at the launch held at Pamukkale University Karahayıt Thermal Rehabilitation Center (PAÜTERM). After the speeches, the launch continued with answering the questions of the press members.

Rector Kutluhan: "International Thermal Health Tourism Forum Denizli 2024, which will promote our Karahayit Thermal Rehabilitation Center, will be held on 11-12-13 January 2023 at Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Nihat Zeybekci Congress and Culture Center"

First of all, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan made the following statement "Today, we will hold the introductory meeting of the International Thermal Health Tourism Forum Denizli 2024, which we will hold with our Pamukkale University Karahayıt Thermal Rehabilitation Center, which is very important for our country and our world, sponsored by Denizli Metropolitan Municipality. The International Thermal Health Tourism Forum will be held on January 11-12-13, 2023 at Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Nihat Zeybekci Congress and Culture Center. On this occasion, we would like to briefly explain the point we have reached as Pamukkale University Karahayıt Thermal Rehabilitation Center. This facility was built in the Karahayıt region where red water comes out with the facilities provided by our state. When its capacity is fully operational, it can serve 500 patients daily. Therefore, it will also receive accommodation assistance from the hotels around it. At this point, we have made an agreement with the hotels around our center. Our center has a total of 92 employees, including 12 faculty members, 3 administrative staff, 7 technical staff, 48 auxiliary health personnel, 12 support staff, 10 security guards. These employees of our center, which has a system on thermal health tourism, will include the employees of the companies we have contracted with. Thus, the part working in the system will be completed.

In the international promotional forum that we will hold as a university, we have invited leading scientific figures in the international arena, especially in the field of thermal tourism. We will host scientists from Germany, England, Croatia, the Netherlands, Spain and China at the International Thermal Health Tourism Forum Denizli 2024 and we will benefit from their knowledge. We have done this work on three concepts; the first concept is 'What is thermal tourism scientifically?', the second is 'What is thermal tourism as marketing?', and the third and most important is the promotion of our Karahayıt Thermal Rehabilitation Center. Currently, our center has started accepting patients. Even a foreign patient is being treated and he is very pleased and happy to be here."

Mayor Zolan: "Let our Pamukkale go back to the old days when it was a center of attraction and a treatment center many years ago. Let's make history repeat itself."

Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan said the following in his statement: "Very valuable Rector, very valuable PAU professors, employees and laborers, very valuable press members, first of all, I greet you all with respect. Today we have come together for a good work. As you all know, Pamukkale is known worldwide for its thermal waters and Karahayıt is known worldwide for its beautiful thermal waters called red water. When we look at the history of Pamukkale, when we look at the history of Pamukkale, we see that people have come here as far back as 2000 years ago or even earlier, when they could not be cured or relieve their pain in Anatolia or Europe.  Here, in the healing waters of our Pamukkale, Karahayıt; studies were carried out at the point of being treated, relieving their aches and pains. From a historical perspective, we have such a beauty. Since then, there have been very serious technological developments, as well as a serious accumulation of knowledge and experience. We want our Pamukkale to return to the old days when it was a center of attraction and a treatment center many years ago. Let history repeat itself. Our efforts have continued until today so that this place will be a place preferred by people from all over Anatolia, from all over the world, to be treated, to relieve their pain and to have a healthier structure. Of course, when we come to the crowning point of this march, the fact that the Thermal Rehabilitation Center of our University has been completed today shows that this work will be crowned and will now accelerate and reach the highest level. This facility was built with really long efforts and detailed studies and we opened it recently. Of course, this building alone does not make sense. We know that there will be very good results as a result of the combination of many experiences, knowledge, team and our thermal water with our valuable faculty members who are experts in this field, science, science and our thermal waters in this building to rehabilitate and heal our people in need. There are very good examples of this in the past. Of course, we also have technical devices in this Thermal Rehabilitation Center. I hope we will visit and see it together. We have seen that when our esteemed professors who have the highest level of knowledge in the use of those technical devices and the facilities provided by this building combine the beautiful thermal waters of our Pamukkale and Karahayıt, which are unique in the world, a beautiful result will emerge and we are very, very happy at that point. Of course, the idea of holding an International Thermal Health Tourism Forum emerged in the evaluation we made with our Rector to show this facility, to announce such an opportunity to the world, to confirm the developments in the world and our knowledge and to carry out a certain study. Hopefully, studies will be carried out at the point of thermal health tourism in Denizli for three days with experts and experts from all over the world and all over our country."

Mayor Zolan: "If you need support in physical therapy and rehabilitation, we welcome you to Pamukkale, Karahayıt, PAU and Denizli."

Of course, this forum brings us, Denizli, to the highest level of invitation in terms of information, promotion and announcement of healing. I am saying here again, if you need support in physical therapy and rehabilitation, we are waiting for you in Pamukkale, Karahayıt, PAU and Denizli.  Today, our Pamukkale, Denizli, Karahayıt, and our University are in a position to provide treatment with our healing waters, our team who know the job, our very valuable professors, and physical facilities. We want to share this promotion, explanation and our knowledge with others, and if there is any, we want our guests to transfer information to us. Hopefully, with this Forum, we will start our march in Denizli, where thermal health is now more conscious, more scientific and really at the highest level with a university perspective, at a point that shows sensitivity to human health. I hope that this march of ours will continue to grow stronger. It is very valuable to heal our people and to be able to demonstrate this by using all kinds of opportunities. I hope that this forum will be a success. I would like to thank our Rector, our esteemed lecturers, our professors, and everyone who has supported and contributed. There is very little time left for Denizli, Pamukkale and Karahayit to become the most important center for thermal healing and thermal tourism in terms of thermal tourism for Turkey and neighboring countries.

All preparations are complete. This walk, which can be described as historical, will start again. We invite all Denizli, those who listen to us and those who seek healing to Pamukkale University Thermal Rehabilitation Center. God willing, let's heal together here. The forum will be an environment where these issues will be discussed at length. In this march, in the meetings you held at the highest level in Ankara in the emergence of this structure, we are in cooperation with our University on many issues. In the end, the knowledge, coordination and expertise to make the Thermal Health Tourism Forum at the international level will be realized within our University and we, as Denizli Metropolitan Municipality, will provide support at the point of financing. When we work together, whoever has what, will give what they have. Our university will contribute with its knowledge, effort and trained staff, and we will have an opportunity to have such a beauty in Denizli and introduce it to the world by providing opportunities from our budget. I thank everyone very much, thank you."

At the end of the launch, Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kutluhan and Mayor of Denizli Metropolitan Municipality Osman Zolan, together with members of the press, visited the units of Pamukkale University Karahayıt Thermal Rehabilitation Center and shared information.
