Prof. Dr. Serkan Bertan Creates "Gastronomy Map" of Denizli
Pamukkale University (PAU) Faculty of Tourism Dean Prof. Dr. Serkan Bertan created the "Denizli Gastronomy Map" for the development of Denizli gastronomy tourism and the transfer of local flavors from generation to generation.
Prof. Dr. Serkan Bertan stated that Denizli cuisine, which has rich local flavors, mainly includes vegetable dishes and there are many registered local flavors such as Denizli tandoori kebab, keskek, Tavas baklava, Kale pepper, Serinhisar chickpeas, Çameli beans. Stating that Denizli cuisine has an important potential for gastronomy tourism, Prof. Dr. Bertan said that it is very important to transfer local flavors from generation to generation and for this purpose, "Denizli Gastronomy Map" was created.
