The Women's Goalball National Team, which includes Pamukkale University students Şeydanur Kaplan and Berfin Altan, received the 'Paralympic Disabled Athlete/Team of the Year Award' at the award ceremony organized by Gillette/Milliyet.
Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Mehmet Muharrem Kasapoğlu congratulated the Women's Goalball National Team, which includes PAU students, and wished them continued success.
In his statement, Minister Kasapoğlu said, "We are on a special night. We are together with our young people, the pride of our sports family. Tonight, we are at the place where many valuable stories that inspire the youth of this country meet. This platform is a platform that brings together our entire sports family. It is a great pleasure for me to see the light in the eyes of our precious athletes. I congratulate everyone who competed, and I especially congratulate the athletes who will receive awards tonight. The award list is a vote and we see diversity in this vote. It is an indication that Turkish sports, which was previously in a few branches, has now reached a serious level. It shows that the brand value of Turkish sports has increased. Congratulations to our students; we wish them continued success."
